Kenny and I endured a painful overnight 13-hour coach ride (184 kunas) from Zagreb to Dubrovnik, a coastal town in Croatia. I couldn’t recline my seat as either the lever was broken or I was just plain stupid; people were yakking away; and the driver had the radio on quite loud, so he wouldn’t fall [...]

The host, Davok (sp?) told us of various attractions we should visit. He had this way of saying “You will see” like a divine prediction, e.g. “Croatia is beautiful. *pause* You Will See.” or “the bus-stop is opposite the fountain. My father-daughter relationship is an unusual one. I’ll SMS him “please bring back contraceptive pills for me” and he’ll SMS back “OK”.
The pills are for delaying my period till after the Europe trip, of course. Love from Father comes in the form of a medical pack, with medicine for fever, pain, gastroenteritis, flu, allergic reactions [...]

The pathology written paper on Tuesday didn’t go too well. It was easy, but so easy that I didn’t study the easy things very well, instead on focusing on the harder things. Grr. It warranted a sinful lunch treat, so Penance and I hopped over to Kaisan at Raffles Hotel. I’m ashamed to say that [...]
