WTF. So they’re going to let my UOB campus card die; and the only alternative they’re offering me is a lousy three-in-one debit card (debit+ATM+EZlink) that doesn’t let me make NETS purchases? Huh! So I have to bring around another NETS card, because not all shops accept credit cards, which doubles the risk of someone accessing my bank account if my wallet were to get stolen? The magnetic strip is already there! Just programme the NETS function in, how hard can that be! (Okay, I just don’t like having too many cards in my wallet. And I don’t even have an UOB NETS card in the first place because the campus account didn’t come with one.)
And my POSB debit card is starting to charge me an annual fee. I called up threatening to cancel my card if they didn’t give me a waiver. It backfired. “So you would like to cancel your card? May I have your bank account number and various other details for verification?”
Am currently cashless lah. Gargh. First month’s pay has been deposited into my account; too measly for me to apply for a credit card as yet.

Yes..i hate UOB now too!! and i liked that black card as opposed to ugly RED card with times new roman lettering. Your posb debit card is charging u? not supposed to. cos u juz need to sign 18 transactions a yr to waive it.

The red NOW card from UOB is not only butt ugly, but also ridiculous. No NETS, plus it charges a admin fee when you link your account to it to use it as an EZ link card. And if you choose not to use it as an EZ link card, it’ll prevent the card reader from reading your normal card cos two cards in your wallet confuses the machine. It’s a freaking stupid card. I’m just going to wait for next month’s payslip and then apply for the SMA UOB card. At least that’s free. Until i decide SMA is not worth being a member of anyway. Heh.
