I’ve got a bone to pick with them. (Forgot to blog about this in the earlier post.)
See right, my given name is Pei Lin, with a space in the middle, and no ‘g’ at the end. The waiter said that they’d help us keep the cake in the fridge at the bar, and that I’d have to leave my name with them. So I spelt out my name without pronouncing it. “H-U *pause* P-E-I *pause* L-I-N,” said I. He managed to get the spacing right, but somehow a ‘g’ appeared behind. Grr. What is it with people. What’s the point of trying to transmit information when the other party already has a preconceived idea of what the information should be.

lol. Maybe nxt time write down on a piece of paper for them? I know my surname always gets spelled wrong for some strange reason….
