a matter of perspective.

We are fortunate. Today I examined a boy my age with Duchenne muscular dystrophy. He has a beautiful smile, but couldn’t lift his arm to shake my hand. He’s a professional MBBS recruit, his case notes said; but not anymore now since the condition has progressed.

The more I see, the more I’m convinced every baby born healthy, without congenital or genetic defects, is a miracle.
