the last dinner

The last day of the holidays was spent at QY’s place for a class gathering. Not that I was ever in her class throughout our acquaintance, but she’s the host and she gets to invite who she wants, ahaha. I had a fun time there, met up with Teresa, and got to see the inner workings of a typical RJC class.

Some photos from the night:

Erm, just chips. Which we polished off while waiting for everyone to arrive.

DIY popiah. I loved the “mang gua”. Sweetish, savoury, with bits of meat in it, and no oil! I failed terribly at rolling the popiah so I was literally just eating the mang gua straight from the bowl at the end of dinner.

The dessert was this heavenly chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and strawberries. Warm and sticky, and just sweet enough.

Longans. The fare at QY’s house is healthy, so we couldn’t do without fruits at the
end of the meal.
