I’ve finally finished watching the Soul Society arc of Bleach. Whew. I’m glad there was a conspiracy at the end - though why on earth a supervillain would patiently explain everyone like a schoolteacher to kids is beyond me. But the fights got better, with the captains and lieutenants being involved. Bankai! I really like Renji, but I still can’t stop laughing over the fact that his Soul Slayer is a baboon, with a fur coat for Renji himself! Oh, and all the impossible save-the-day appearances from nowhere. Like Ichigo and the flying cloak; and that scene when Byakuya just appeared and saved Rukia from Ichimaru’s blow. Hitsuyaga is amazing, but since Paku Romi always does these boy prodigy roles, I’m inevitably reminded of Edward Elric every time I hear her voice. I like Kenpachi, actually. He’s a straightforward fellow who just loves fighting; but you don’t see him being mean to his subordinates.
did you watch the shinigami zukan golden clips at the very end of the ending credits and “next episode” updates? it starts around ep 60 or so, i think. they are short clips of “extras” about ichigo’s sisters, kon, and the gotei captains - hilarious, especiallly the ones involving byakuya and yachiru!
i’m currently re-watching the soul society arc - after ep 63-64 it gets boring, but the shinigami zukan golden is still good up to about ep 83. recent ones have not been very entertaining.
and yay! i like renji too!
